Previously one was just able to view any violations online, but the payment option was disabled. Now it seems they have finally integrated the whole payment workflow.

Waterfield Wallet Arrives! April 15, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Miscellaneous , add a commentFinally, after a bit of a struggle with Aramex Shop & Ship, my Waterfield wallet is here! Total Cost: $19 + $10 (US Priority Mail) + $9.60 Aramex Charge = $38.60 ~ 10 KWD.
Sure enough, true to their well deserved reputation, the workmanship is great, the leather feels top notch and the build quality is amazing; and I also received a hand written thank you note on my invoice; now when was the last time you got that kind of service when you shopped online?
I’ll soon be ordering my new laptop bag from them, seeing as how my current Kenneth Cole bag (which is about 8 years old) is starting to come apart at the seams (literally).
I highly recommend you check our their site sfbags.com which has excellent hand made laptop cases, sleeves and accessories for most of your Apple gadgets.
April - Jazz Appreciation Month April 13, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Miscellaneous , 1 comment so farApril is Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) and I am a big fan of Jazz especially smooth jazz. Some of my favorite Jazz musicians include Wayman Tisdale, Boney James, Fourplay, Peter White, Spyro Gyra, George Benson, Lee Ritenour, Anita Baker — lets not forget the legends of more traditional Jazz Ella Fitzgerald (pictured in the poster above), Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington.
I urge you to explore this genre of music both for his rich history and amazing artistry that spans across geographic boundaries.

Google App Engine Chooses Django April 10, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Mobile, Web Development , add a commentGoogle is one company that truly gives Python first class citizen status and use it extensively throughout their organization, so it was no surprise that their application hosting platform (AppEngine) uses Python throughout. I was extremely pleased to find out that they chose Django as a core part of their application platform. I’m a big fan of Django and look forward to getting my account created there to try out some apps.
Irresponsible Reporting April 10, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Miscellaneous , add a commentI stumbled upon this article titled Five reasons why Vista beats Mac OSX over at ComputerWorld, a magazine normally known for quality reporting. This article really is shockingly irresponsible, is written without any form of research, and if wasn’t for the date — I would have dismissed it as an April Fool’s Day prank.
Unfortunately it isn’t, and the 109 people that commented on it seemed to agree.
World’s Fastest Internet Connection April 7, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Miscellaneous , add a commentThis is just unreal. Velchip a broadband powerline (BPL) company in Malaysia is working on a project to provide… “60 million users unlimited high speed Internet connection of 224Mbps (megabits per second) at a cost of only around RM5 (US$1.58) per user per month.”
It is part of an ambitious project to link together 400,000 mosques in the ‘Smart Mosque’ project across 3 years. More details at compuworld malaysia.
Digsby - Go. Get. It. April 6, 2008
Posted by Burhan in : Software , add a commentIf you have accounts on more than one IM service — you fall into two categories. Either you run three or four different IM programs, or you suffer with one of those programs that tries to connect to all of them at once. If you fall into the second camp, then you owe it to your IM-buddies to get yourself Digsby.
Not only does it connect with everything under the sun, it also hooks into Facebook (who doesn’t have a Facebook account) and various other social networks. You can also set it up to check all your email boxes. My personal favorite feature is that the default theme is smooth operator, one of my all time favorites from Adium.
